Roland Stout is Beanshed research.

He began his research career on a big agency Graduate Training Program from whence he quickly gravitated towards qual. After several happy years there and international projects later he departed for the world of design research agency: all hierarchies of communication, holding devices and colourways.

Midway through 2005 he went it alone, so he could have the freedom to live where he wanted. He now lives with his wife and family on the South Coast.

He continues to work regularly in and around London, the Midlands/North and further afield albeit that nowadays he has to set his alarm a little earlier.

When working on projects where he cannot handle all the fieldwork or simply where it would be good to have another brain Roland partners with other independent research consultants who share his philosophy and where everyone is director level.
